Lisa Moskovitz, CEO, RD, CDN

As seen on Good Day NY, Fox 5 News, and MSNBC, Lisa Moskovitz is a Weight Management, Eating Disorder & Sports Nutrition Specialist as well as the CEO and founder of The NY Nutrition Group. With an extensive background in nutrition sciences and behavioral counseling she has successfully treated thousands of New Yorkers. Lisa has a special talent & dedication to helping all her clients no matter their specific challenges and barriers.

Counseling Philosophy:

Lisa strongly believes and understands there is no one-size fits all plan. The key to success is to find a program that will satisfy your needs and fit in to your lifestyle. If you’re constantly traveling for work, or frequently eat out in restaurants, following a strict diet will not work and may even backfire. With the right knowledge and tools, she believes you can keep living your life and also reach your health goals at the same time. Lisa also understands having a positive relationship with food is key as is listening to your body. Mindful and intuitive eating practices are her top ingredients to long-term success.

Lisa graduated with honors from Syracuse University where she earned a B.S. in Nutrition Sciences. She honed her counseling & medical nutrition therapy skills through a 12-month intensive Dietetic Internship at New-York Presbyterian Hospital. She has been in private practice ever since and opened her own business in 2013 to continue fulfilling her dream.

Personal Interests:

When she’s not busy counseling or running her practice, Lisa loves running on the treadmill while catching up on her favorite TV shows. She also finds cooking and listening to music extremely therapeutic. Most importantly she is the happiest when she can spend time with her husband, twin boys, and little dog, Cosmo. =)

Stefanie Mendez, MS, RD

Stefanie Mendez is a Registered Dietitian who received both a Bachelor’s of Science and Masters degree in nutrition from New York University. Stefanie’s has experience working as a Clinical Dietitian at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital in Manhattan where she treated patients using evidenced-based nutrition therapy for a broad range of conditions and helped them towards recovery. In her personal life, Stefanie is a busy mom who understands the challenges of healthy eating that come with a family-oriented lifestyle. Personal Interests:

Nutrition and wellness have always been a part of Stefanie’s life. In her free time, Stefanie enjoys spending time with her husband and newborn son in their home on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Together as a family, they enjoying creating healthy meals at home and meeting other families who share their interest for good, nutritious food. In hopes of never having a dull moment, you can catch them most days exploring New York City, by way of foot, bike or ferry!

Chelsea Oarr, RD, CDN

Background:

Chelsea Oarr is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics through UCONN’s Coordinated Dietetics Program. After completing her course work, she immediately started treating clients at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital. With her strong background in medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling she successfully helps her patients prevent and delay the progression of numerous chronic diseases & illnesses.

Chelsea has also practiced with Greenwich Crew for seven years, and competed in The USRowing National Championships several times. As a former athlete, Chelsea has a strong understanding and respect for the connection between nutrition and performance. She understands how healthy eating habits can significantly impact an individual’s mental and physical health. Most importantly she believes that with the right knowledge and tools, eating healthy is achievable and can be relatively easy for everyone.

Ashley Sobel, RD

Ashley graduated with honors from the University of Delaware where she earned a B.S. in Dietetics. She completed a rigorous Dietetic Internship through the University of Delaware where she gained counseling and medical nutrition therapy skills. Ashley is currently working towards her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. With a strong background in behavior sciences and nutrition therapy, Ashley has successfully provided nutrition counseling in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Ashley discovered her passion for nutrition from a young age. Her love of food and cooking, along with her active lifestyle as a dancer made her very aware of the connection between nutrition and performance. Struggling with her own gastrointestinal imbalances too, fueled a stronger interest and dedication to nutrition as a professional career.

Ashley’s nutrition philosophy is all about keeping things fun and simple. Ashley utilizes a client-focused, highly individualized approach to tackling any nutrition goal. She believes that food is medicine. She believes in the power of food as a way to connect with others. Through developing mindful and intuitive eating practices, she helps create positive long-term change.

Although Ashley is often busy running around in NYC, she makes time to take yoga classes, dance classes, and go for runs in Central park. She loves trying new restaurants and spending time with friends, family, and her French Bulldog named Joey!

Taylor Fazio, MS, RD

Background:

Taylor is a Registered Dietitian who received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. As a graduate student, she completed her dietetic internship at a major hospital in NYC which provided a diverse patient base and refined her cultural sensitivity to customize plans based on individual needs. Throughout her academic career she recognized the importance of nutrition in all aspects of life – we eat everyday, let’s make it count towards feeling our best!

Taylor is originally from San Francisco, California where she grew up as an athlete and worked in the fashion industry. The juxtaposition of these two lifestyles harvested her deep passion for understanding nutrition, health, and overall wellness. While investigating the “how” and “why” of food metabolism, she also discovered “what” foods and products help achieve optimal wellness.

Weight management, sports nutrition, gastrointestinal disorders (gut health, FODMAPS, SIBO, IBS, IBD, celiac disease), vegetarian/ vegan diets, chronic illness treatment/prevention, food intolerances/sensitivities, and general healthy eating.

Philosophy:

Taylor has a strong mantra of a healthy relationship with food brings about lasting and significant changes that impact all aspects of life. Food is essential and integral in society, so rather than avoiding and praising certain food items she believes incorporating everything in moderation will allow a functional personal, social, and emotional balance with food. Building a healthy relationship with food begins with discovering the roots of possible set backs, accepting and mitigating those, and getting excited to make changes towards a future filled with lasting health.

Every single person is different which is why a tailored approach is the most effective approach. Further, feeling great is great and successfully achieving goals is a major motivating factor – she will help get you there. She will assist to make small changes that create a large impact such as meal planning, dietary tracking, and accountability.

Jenna Koroly, MS, RD, CDN

Jenna is a Registered Dietitian and health enthusiast with a Master’s of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from Teachers College, Columbia University. As a graduate student and dietetic intern, she gained experience in a variety of research, inpatient, and outpatient settings, including working with college athletes at St. Francis College and Columbia University. Jenna has provided nutrition counseling to individuals at a wellness program in White Plains, NY to support weight loss and muscle gain goals, and has also given supermarket tours and presentations at Whole Foods in Darien, CT. She believes the foundation of a healthy lifestyle is planning and consistency.

Jenna provides nutrition counseling for Weight Management, Muscle Gain, Sports Nutrition, Heart Disease and High Cholesterol, Diabetes, Vegetarian/Vegan, Food Allergy, and General Healthy Eating.

Jenna enjoys running, and typically trains for a distance event each year, including half marathons and a marathon relay. She loves to ride Citi Bikes and travel, but her favorite activity is to spend time with the family Australian Cattle Dog.

Esther Glikman, RD

Estee Glikman is a Registered Dietitian with experience working with different populations. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Queens College and then completed her Dietetic Internship at Lehman College in the Bronx, NY.

Estee has facilitated health and wellness training in a variety of sports clubs in New York City. Additionally, she has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and older adults. Estee’s approach is largely focused on providing information and empowering both children and adults to make good choices for their bodies.

Specialties:

Estee has experience working with ADHD, adolescent nutrition, weight management, GI disorders (SIBO, IBS), vegetarian/ vegan diets, eating disorders, hypertension, food intolerances/ sensitivities and generally healthy eating.

Estee presented on Feeding LD and ADHD Learners at the Learning Disability Association Annual Conference in Atlanta, GA in February 2018.

Throughout Estee’s years of practice she has been presented with learning disabilities, medical problems and challenges. What Estee loves most about the field of nutrition is that it often only takes a few changes to make a really big difference.

Estee’s nutrition philosophy is that of love and acceptance. She will meet you where you are. She has worked with people at all different stages of their lives reach their goals and feel comfortable in their skin.

Carolyn is a Registered Dietitian and Certified in the state of New York. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition from Long Island University and is currently working on obtaining her Master’s Degree from Northwestern University. Carolyn gained extensive experience working with a wide variety of medical conditions while working at Columbia University Medical Center. She has successfully treated thousands of patients using her trained skills in nutrition therapy. Carolyn believes it’s important to practice what you preach and that a healthy life is a happy one.

She will work with you to pinpoint your specific needs and tailor your nutrition plan using behavior modification techniques. Personal Interests:

Carolyn loves being outdoors and staying active. Her favorite thing to do is to try something new that challenges her both physically and mentally. While she may not be a pro everything she tries, she has fun doing it and values self-improvement. This is also rings true in her kitchen. Recipe development is one of her great interests, especially since she is always sharing new recipes with her clients.

Emily Buchholtz, RD, CDN

Background:

Emily has been passionate about nutrition for as long as she can remember. As a child, she was overweight, and for a long time she was unaware of the potential for long-term health consequences. Fortunately, she was able to successfully lose weight and keep it off. Through her tough weight loss journey Emily was able to understand and prioritize healthy habits that she continues to use. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Indiana University and later went on to complete her Dietetic Internship through the Northwell Health System. While working as a clinical dietitian, she has become fluent in proper medical nutrition therapy for serious and chronic illnesses. She possesses a strong sense of empathy, which helps to foster close relationships with her clients. Working in a clinical setting has given her a strong foundation of the medical aspect of nutrition that she now uses to work one-on-one with clients.

Emily specializes in weight loss, diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, Pre-DM), eating disorders/emotional eating, cardiovascular issues (heart disease, cholesterol, triglycerides, high blood pressure), gastrointestinal disorders (IBS, IBD, SIBO), and cancer treatment.

Counseling Philosophy:

She believes that food is the foundation of many social situations and family gatherings; therefore it is essential to develop a good relationship with it. She tries to teach her clients that food is a lifestyle and everything is okay in moderation. She does not believe in crash dieting.
