Background:

Ayla Gentiletti, RD, CDN, NSCA-CPT is a Registered Dietitian based in New Jersey. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science with a concentration in Dietetics from Montclair State University, where she was honored with the Nutrition and Food Science Leadership Award.

After graduation, Ayla worked full-time as a personal trainer before completing her dietetic internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. There, she gained hands-on experience in medical nutrition therapy across a wide range of clinical settings—including academic medical centers, community health facilities, behavioral health units, and pediatric hospitals.

Ayla began her dietetics career as a Clinical Dietitian at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, caring for patients with complex and diverse nutritional needs. She later joined a health startup dedicated to providing personalized nutrition care for individuals with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. Today, Ayla works in the medical device industry, supporting technologies designed for people managing diabetes.

Specialties
Ayla specializes in weight management (both loss and gain), obesity, prediabetes and type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular health (including hypertension and heart disease), and gastrointestinal disorders such as IBS, IBD, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and GERD. Her expertise also includes oncology nutrition, tube feeding and enteral nutrition, mindful and intuitive eating, helping individuals improve their relationship with food, and general healthy eating.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Ayla enjoys cooking, traveling, and exploring new cuisines—most recently during a trip to Japan. She’s a regular weight-lifter, caffeine addict, and doesn’t let a day go by without playing the New York Times Mini Crossword—usually in under 60 seconds. A proud New Jersey native, Ayla loves spending time at the Jersey Shore with her husband, Blake, and their Moyen Poodle, Poppy.
