This book is an incredibly refreshing take on nutrition. I’ve read my fair share and find them mostly to be forced, unrealistic, and generally overwhelming with advice. I loved how the author gave the reader options to personalize the plan based on goals: if weight loss is not your goal, you can customize a plan to eat healthier.

I found this book so refreshing! I appreciated the focus on health and well-being and knowing I was getting real, science-backed advice from a dietician. I also loved the author’s reassuring voice. I have struggled with weight for years, and I think some of the restrictive, elimination diets distorted my relationship with certain foods. I love that this book explains WHY our bodies NEED carbs, protein, and fats and then provides helpful charts that even include how much fiber is in certain foods. It was also helpful to understand my Eater Archetype—it has helped me to become more conscious of some of my habits and to be more mindful. Best of all, the author acknowledges that the plan needs to fit into your lifestyle and offers ways to exchange carbs for a treat or glass of wine. And it was so helpful to be able to customize for my particular body/weight and for exercise. This plan is actually sustainable and I LOVED that the recipes were not only EASY but also interesting and delicious! I would highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to lose weight in a healthy, lasting way.

    Lisa Moskovitz, RD, CDN is a certified dietitian who has successfully treated hundreds of thousands of clients. She is the founder and CEO of NY Nutrition Group. Lisa graduated with honors from Syracuse University, where she earned a BS in Nutrition Sciences, and completed a Dietetic Internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she honed her counseling and medical nutrition therapy skills. In addition to her private practice, Lisa lectures on various nutrition topics in corporate environments and group seminars.
