Background:

Margot is a dietitian at NY Nutrition Group. Margot graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelors in Communication from Fairfield University in 2012 and spent the next several years working for technology companies in marketing and account management. In 2017 Margot decided to pursue her passion and went back to school to become a Registered Dietitian. Margot earned her Masters in Science with a Concentration in Food and Nutrition from Framingham State University, where she completed clinical, foodservice, and community nutrition internships with the Department of Veteran Affairs and the YMCA. Upon graduating, Margot worked for a Weight and Wellness clinic at Signature Healthcare where she used motivational interviewing to help her clients make sustainable changes and improvements to their health.

Margot struggled with a hormonal condition, as well as additional complications that led her to needing fertility treatments and eventually doing IVF. Luckily, she was able to get pregnant on her first transfer with her beautiful baby girl. Through her struggles, Margot became passionate about fertility nutrition and learning about various hormonal conditions that can lead to fertility issues. Margot is a great resource for those struggling with infertility as she can certainly empathize and provide nutrition counseling to support you throughout your journey.

Margot understands that nutrition is just one piece of the puzzle, and will work with her patients on behavioral change and mindset shifts to make sustainable and realistic improvements.

Counseling Philosophy:

Margot takes a personalized, judgment free, anti-diet approach in her counseling. Margot considers the whole-body to help uncover the root cause of health issues by addressing not just diet, but also sleep, stress, hormonal imbalances, movement, comorbidities and body image. She doesn’t believe in strict diets or cutting out food groups, but instead focusing on what we can add to your diet to help you feel better and work towards sustainable change. Margot believes food should be loved, not feared, and her goal is to help you build a healthy relationship with food and body through gentle nutrition and intuitive eating.
