Personality:

When you first meet Jeanne, you will be greeted with a big smile and immediately feel her passion and enthusiasm. When you are working with Jeanne, you will feel comfortable, confident, and supported.   

Background:

Jeanne is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Board Certified Sports Nutritionist who’s journey into nutrition began as a Division I student-athlete at Towson University where she learned firsthand the impact nutrition can have on performance, in all facets of life. This appreciation was elevated after obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education and during her time as a teacher and coach, where she identified nutrition as her life’s passion. Jeanne then went on to pursue a second degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from West Chester University and complete her formal training with ARAMARK Healthcare in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jeanne is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion.

Jeanne's professional career has spanned the acute inpatient care, critical care, long-term acute care, and outpatient settings. She has spent the past decade in the outpatient and private practice settings, where she has helped hundreds of clients in the areas of sports performance nutrition, mindful eating, and lifestyle medicine approaches to heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and pre-diabetes.

Jeanne is trained in motivational interviewing and behavior change practices and prides herself on her individualized approach to empowering clients to reach their maximum potential through the power of building practical and sustainable nutrition and lifestyle habits that work!

Counseling Philosophy:

Jeanne’s counseling philosophy is rooted in her belief that food is more than just food, it is nourishment, performance, relationships, family, culture, tradition and pleasure. In a word, it is Life.

Jeanne feels passionate about helping her clients discover their own love and appreciation for food and prides herself on providing the support, education and tools needed to empower clients to feel confident and joyful around their nutrition decisions.

She loves to teach realistic cooking and food prep strategies that are approachable, tasty, and fun to help her clients bring their nutrition goals to life in their own kitchens.

Personal Interests:

Beyond being a nutrition professional, Jeanne is also an athlete, mom, traveler, nature lover and self-proclaimed “foodie”. Jeanne can often be found testing out new recipes in her own kitchen, gathered around a restaurant table with friends and family or wandering around food stores or farmer’s markets.

Jeanne also loves being active in nature by hiking with her family or being on the water in a kayak or paddle board.  She enjoys staying physically active through running, cycling, lifting and most of all through playing sports, especially with her two daughters.
