Jessica Jaeger, RD, CDN
Jessica Jaeger, RD, CDN is a Registered Dietitian and certified in the state of New York. Jessica received a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from New York University and then went on to be accepted to Long Island University’s dietetic internship and advanced certificate program. There, Jessica was selected for the competitive Health and Wellness track which offered extensive exposure to individualized nutrition counseling and providing nutrition- focused workshops. Additionally, she has a variety of clinical experience from her time at Northwell, Plainview hospital and NYU Langone’s Hospital for Joint Diseases.
Jessica firmly believes that the whole person must be taken into consideration in nutrition counseling. She understands that food and eating are closely intertwined with personal, emotional, and social aspects of a person’s life. Jessica’s goal is to help you create your own sustainable, healthy, and most importantly, enjoyable, eating habits. Healthy eating doesn’t have to be a chore!
Jessica participated in a research team at Columbia University Teacher’s College that created a published nutrition education curriculum for a two hour PBS documentary. The curriculum was based off of author Michael Pollan’s book, “In Defense of Food” and was designed specifically for middle school aged children.
Jessica is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition dietetic practice group.
Jessica is a self-proclaimed gym rat who loves everything from cycling to yoga to weight lifting. She is also passionate about rescuing dogs and spends much of her time pampering her own two rescues, Penny and Duke.
