Georgia Rounder, RD, CDN
Georgia completed her undergraduate coursework at Indiana University, where she studied dietetics. Immediately following graduation, Georgia entered the dietetic internship program at Oregon Health & Science University. Through her educational background, she has used medical nutrition therapy to help patients recover from a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. Prior to joining NY Nutrition Group, she worked one-on-one with oncology patients in the outpatient setting,
Georgia provides nutrition counseling to a variety of clients for issues including: weight loss/management, sports nutrition, GI disorders (IBS, IBD, Reflux, SIBO), cancers and disease prevention (heart disease, diabetes).
Georgia aims to teach clients how to embrace all foods as a part of a balanced life, reject all “diet” mentalities, and help them trust and respect their bodies through practical, individualized nutrition plans.
She is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Practice Group.
Georgia has been featured in numerous online publications including Women’s Health, Huffington Post, MyFitnessPal, and Recovery Warriors.
In her spare time, Georgia loves staying active by trying different yoga and spin classes around the city. She also enjoys writing, trying out new restaurants with friends, traveling, and perfecting her banana bread recipe.
